Sophie + Matt

Who cares that the weather isn't great when the autumn colours look this good? There’s something about those orange and red tones that just add a bit of extra magic to a wedding day. The bride (Sophie) looked absolutely stunning, as did the groom (Matt). Both were incredibly laid back and more than happy to brave the cold damp conditions to get some stunning shots on the magnificent grounds at Elsham hall.

Nicola & Alan

A wedding at any time of the year is a special thing. However there is something about an autumn wedding. Nicola and Alan chose to get married at Elsham Hall. It was my second wedding there this year and despite only being a matter of weeks since the first one, it was almost as if it was totally different place. The rich autumnal colours brought a whole new feel to when I had been there previously, only to be enhanced even further by Nicola's decoration choices which features a lot of burnt oranges and reds. The whole occasion looked totally resplendent and the atmosphere throughout the entire day was one of pure happiness.. 

Nicola and Alan were a joy to photograph. Laid back, calm and keen to enjoy their day with their closest family and friends. Congratulations to them both.

Naomi & Simon: Married

One of the things that stuck with me from when I first met Naomi and Simon was the vision they had for their day. They wanted it to be fun, relaxed and everything that a wedding should be... a celebration. For them it wasn't just a day for themselves, but one for their family and friends. Something for everyone to enjoy. I'm glad to say that the day sure did deliver! 

I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a couple more in tune with one another than Naomi and Simon. They were a joy to work with. Constantly laughing and joking, they were as laid back as any couple I've had the pleasure of photographing. Their day was one filled with laughter, fun and games... the way any wedding should be. With family and friends coming from far and wide, not even the weather could spoil the occasion.

Jess & Matt: Married

It feels like an eternity since I shot Jess & Matt's engagement shoot back in 2014. So I suppose you could forgive me for saying that this wedding felt like a long time coming! 
 

The entire day was spent at the wonderful setting of Healing Manor in the Lincolnshire countryside. The spring sunshine and blue skies soon descended into a mushy mess of grey clouds and drizzle, but that didn't come anywhere near close to ruining an amazing day with some great people and a perfect couple. 

My favourite thing about Jess and Matt is they're the kind of people you can sit and chat to forever. They both have such genuine characters and their personalities complement each other wonderfully. I think you'll agree, they also look pretty damn good together!

Congratulations to them both!

Ashley & Rob: Pre-Wedding

There's rain and then there is RAIN! Unfortunately, Ashely and Rob were served up with the latter for their pre-wedding shoot a couple of weeks back. We'd met early on a Saturday morning at the Hartsholme Country Park near Lincoln and after waiting in the car park for almost 20 minutes, we decided to brave it. Luckily the dense woodlands provided just enough shelter and because of the conditions, the park was reasonably empty. Ashley and Rob are due to marry a week today in what I'm sure will be a lovely ceremony at the White Heather in Lincolnshire. I can only hope that the weather proves to be much kinder to them this time. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for them.
